The Man in the Mirror and Other Strangers is a personal memoir of a wife’s journey into caregiving as she looks after her beloved husband, the love of her life, who gets diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. A Carpet of Violets and Clover

In “A Carpet of Violets & Clover”, Jenny Zimmer shares a collection of short stories, personal essays and poetry. The short stories started with her fascination for flash fiction. The essays stem from personal experiences or observations. A love for nature has inspired many of the poems and haiku.

She has published another book of poetry titled “All The Moments Are Real” (2007) which is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. She has a variety of friends and enjoys evenings out with good wine and stimulating conversations.

Sometimes putting thoughts on paper helps us deal with the difficult times in our lives. And, being able to capture these thoughts can help to celebrate the wonderful things that happen. In sharing our feelings with others we often find that someone else understands where we’ve been in our life.

The thoughts and feelings expressed in this book cover forty-five years in the life of one woman and enables us to share the heartaches and triumphs experienced through the years.

About the Author

Jenny Zimmer is a writer, artist and book lover! Retired from an executive position she spends her time doing the things she loves which include not only writing but other activities which fuel her creative spirit and sooth her soul. She is sensitive and caring but also has a humorous side that comes out often in her short stories. She has previously published “All The Moments Are Real”, which is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
